Gear Questions

Came across this site and after lurking for a couple of weeks, it's got my creative juices going again. Hopefully I'll be able to post snippets of stuff in the future.

I've never done any type of computer recording, so I have a couple of questions on gear.

Within the next couple of weeks, I'll be getting a V-Amp and Guitar Tracks (or Cool Edit Pro). Is there anything else that's needed? From reading through most of this site, I'm guessing that I can go guitar to v-amp to line in on my sound card?

Any tips or hints would be appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Gear Questions

Looks like you'll be pretty much set. I use a v-amp 2 and cool edit pro and its all i really need for recording.

Re: Gear Questions

You could also take a look at n-track for recording on your computer
