Guillemot ISIS 8 Channel Sound card

These cards are really cheap these days at ebay, and I starteed my multitrack career with one of this used cards, because I want to recard some tunes from the band I was in.
I received the card with the break-out box which is cool and placed the card in my Athlon driven workhorse PC, and - doesn't work. Would not even be recognized by the system. Let's pray, that it is not defect.
Changed to an old Intel driven machine and... hurray it works.
What I will say... whenever you plan to buy such a card to get into cheap multitrack recording, forget it, if you have an Athlon CPU. The card is not able to hook up on such a system. (tried several machines, Athlon/Duron and Via, chipset independent, the card is definitely dead in those)
From todays view, it works fine with Cubase VST and it is very easy to mixdown Miditracks to MP3 with it. If you use the VST synthies for bass and drums it sounds somewhat analogue and is neat to keep.
