GuitarPort and Adobe Audition Help
Here is the problem. I used to be able to monitor track 1 (The Backing Track) while recording the guitar onto Track 2 without recording the BT onto Track 2. NowSO, I would have track 1, the BT, and track 2 (my guitar) on two separate tracks. But, I had to rebuild my HDD this past week. Now, I record, BUT i get the BT AND my guitar on Track2. WTF???? My computer is messed up and I cant get the settings right again.
I have my Gport going into the puter via USB and L/R Speaker out into the mic input on the back of the computer; My Hd-phones are plugged into the guitarport. I have the Windows mixer set to record via microphone in when I use the SOundcard (internal) to record. WHen I set the Guitarport to act as the recording device, I can only manipulate wave-in. My questions are:
1) Do I set the Guitarport to act as the recording/playback in the windows mixer/audio properties as audio, audio and voice, or just voice?
Do I set it to act as the recording and playback device, or one or the other?
2) Do I use the soundcard instead of the G-port? If so, what does the mixer need to be set at ? I cant find a "What u hear" function in the soundcard and the help topics.
3) Audition can set the properties of the device used. I have GUitarport, Soundcard, and WaveMapper. U can move them up or down in order of precedence. I move the G-port to no. 1, and It wont work. I move the Soundcard up to no 1., and it works, but I get the BT and the guitar on one track.
I have worked on this for five hours with no avail. I have no idea what is going on here.
