You have to export the song in RW as a wav, and convert using third party software. A good free one is Audacity.

"RW" = RiffWorks recording software that you can use in conjunction with your Guitar Port. What recording software are you using? The Guitar Port won't have anything to do with your ability to convert your backing tracks to mp3 format. That would come from the options of your recording software. Some recording software allows you to export your audio files into mp3's, others only allow exporting to .wav, .ogg, etc. files. If this is the case, you can use any number of free mp3 encoding/converting programs like MusicMatch Jukebox, Audacity, etc. Good luck!

I have protracks Plus Acid 6 and I think I'll try RiffWorks. I guess it has to do with which device I set to be the recording source. I'll sit down and experiment.
THanks for the help.
