Hello and... Pro Tracks Plus Midi Question

Hello all,

My name is Kim and I am new to this forum. Greetings to everyone.

I have a question:

I am running Pro Tracks Plus on an Intel/XP box. I have a USB midi out device. I am sending the midi signals to a midi router. I have numerous devices on the chain downstream.

I am not able to get song start/stop information to the downstream devices from Pro Tracks Plus. The midi connections are good. I can get other software to send the sync information.

On the MIDI Out tab of the Project Options window I check 'Transmit MIDI Start/Continue/Stop/Clock' box and close the window. When I open it back up the box is unchecked. Do you know why that may be happening?

So, my question is: how do I configure Pro Tracks Plus to send MIDI timing information through the MIDI output device? The manual is severely lacking. I have mailed the technical support for Pro Tracks Plus and there answers are terse and unhelpful.

Thanks for any assistance. This is puzzling me.

Kim

Additional Note:

Some more information:

I am sending some information to a drum machine I am using to test the MIDI flow.

In the Projects/Options window on the Metronome tab, If I click "Use Midi Note" in the General section, I can hear the drum machine's metronome playing... but the song start/stop information does not seem to be being received.

Thanks... Kim

Goport will become famous soon enough
you would do well to try posting this in an keyboard/synth forum mate. Us guitarists tend to get scared of midi. (In other words I am sorry I just can't help you)
