4..Is the guitar port /Soundcard/software all i need to get started?
Thanks for any help..Mac
1. Yeah, Guitarport will allow you to get tones onto your pc.
2. Soundcard? Well I have a Soundblaster Audigy and that does the job but I'm sure some of the other guys will recommend better.
3. I'd recommend Cakewalk 9.0 and I might even be able to get you a copy...Mondola might still have my copy! It's farly straightforward. You just chose guitarport as your output, press record and go. A lot of guys use a program on here called Cool Edit but I couldn't get away with it...they may say go for that and we can sort you out with that I would think
4. Should be all you need mate...I mix the stuff down pretty basically (without a mixer!) and then all you'll need is software to convert it from wav to mp3 and vice versa. I use something free off the net called Lame...again I can put you in the area with that software.
Hope this helps mate.
