I don't make that much BT, but I use Audacity for it.
I connect my guitar to a Digitech RP50 processor and then in the line-in of my computer. Hit record and play...
Drums are on the RP50 or I use Hammerhead, but I am not that fond of Hammerhead, it is more tecjno and not Rock oriented.
That's my 2 ct. Hope that other guys will reply soon...

There used to be an instructional article in the BT forum that I thought was salvaged and put somewhere else but I can't find it.

Yeah, those somehow got lost in the shuffle when the posts from the Creating Backing Tracks forum were moved to the Home Recording section. I'm in the process of rewriting them

drums
this things not bad and ya can replace/add drum parts with samples to make a new kit
and its easy to use
http://www.pcdrummer.com/
dl the sythnfont stuff that Pod_God posted, well worth it and its got a vid of how to use it
check the sites out too in the zip file as ther are loads of drum packs and other instrument packs you can get
recommend the nsj bass, the drum kit is ok
for power stuff and others check out that hammersound link, its got great sets of drums and stuff
in particular the assorted kits, RealAcousticDrums + others
general sound font wise the GM3 pack is good

In Gus's (site owner) words...
"sup guys, sorry... I screwed up, turns out the person who registered the domains for me lost the loging information and didn't have access to his email account. I had to send tons of faxes to godaddy to get my domains back, and it's done."
