I can't vouch for the M-Audio but I just started using a Line 6 Toneport GX into Audacity recording software. The Toneport comes with 18
amp models and 11 cabinet models. The software is Gearbox and works flawlessly on my laptop and the cool part is the access to hundreds of presets and tones of some of the greatest players. Line 6 did a nice job of emulating the settings of the amps and with one click of the mouse, you can have a nice "Brown" sound of Eddie or straight in your face Pantera shred. Has a real nice Clapton preset too. This is all my own opinion though. Good luck in your decision.
