Mic Question

Hey guys,

I am looking to use a mic for vocals and I was wondering what some good mics were that are WIRED, I do not want WIRELESS mics. Also I just want the best values on mics, you know just for home recording :P (plus radio shack sucks).

Any help would be greatful as well as possible links on where to buy these mics.

Thanks,
Jimmy

Don't skimp. Get an SM57 for recording guitars and snare drum; a 58 for vocals. You can get 'em just aout anywhere. They're a great value, and once you have one or two of each, you'll use 'em forever.

I'm serious, BTW - the price is low enough that anyone can get one, but they are the standard for pretty much everyone. It's not worth trying to save $20 to get whatever piece of junk GC has on sale; you'll pay 20% less and get half the mic.

I agree with MauneyM once you use these mics youll never want to use any other mic again, I use one for my guitar recording and live sound, my drummer uses them on each drum. the Shure sm 57 will run you $89.95 New, (dont ever pay more than that they are everywhere for that price) on E-bay I got two used they look brand new I paid $70.00 for the both with clips and bags. You can also use them as a hammer, LOL
