Hi guys, moving over to Cakewalk as my P.C. don't like Cool Edit.

Anyway, does anyone know a good mp3 to wav converter because Cakewalk won't import mp3s

Re: mp3 to wav program ???

which cakewalk proggie you using?

for mp3 to wav just use winamp, and set the output to disk writer
it's free and it is fast and does batch mode.

Re: mp3 to wav program ???

OK dudes, I will try these out (thanx for the prompt responses).

I can't remember what version I am using. 9, I think...

Have to check when I'm back at home. I know I have to learn the Cakewalk way and throw all my Cool Edit knowledge out the window.

At least I will be able to use my POD xt all the time with Cake walk. Cool Edit Pro only lets me record through the POD when it feels like it... So I just got fed up of that in the end.

Re: mp3 to wav program ???

Mondola, I've been using Cakewalk for about 5 years now, and I ended up buying their Pyro software in addition to my recording software. It's been very handy in a lot of situations, including removing pop and hiss from vinyl recordings, editing song intros and endings, etc. That's a pretty nice bonus on top of its' features in conjunction with the recording software. You can convert wav's to mp3's and vice-versa with it. As a registered Cakewalk user, you should be able to get it pretty cheap as well. Give it a lookover on their site and see what you think - I've been really happy with it.
