Music software editor: Does this exist?

I am still way behind all this new technology, so bear with me please.

Is there a simple and low cost(or even free) program that will let me take a Mp3 or whatever and remove the vocals and the drums/ or anything I want?
So that I am left with just the guitar track playing?

Thanks for reading this!

No such software exists that I am aware of. but it would be most convenient if it did. what are you trying to accomplish?

I am trying to isolate just the guitar of ...hmmm..lets say Jeff Beck (surprise shock horror dismay! what are the odds?) and take that recording once isolated , stick it in winamp and use that Pacemaker plugin somebody else here posted about and than transcribe the damn 3 songs from the Blow by Blow album that I still cannot figure out: Constipated Duck, Air Blower and She's a Woman.

Or I could take it and then convert to midi and have a better success rate of having guitar pro do it for me.

Many people have tried various things to take an Original and make a BT from it, but removing just the guitars is not an easy task. Some older songs have guitars on just one channel, like right or left. That can be easily removed if you copy the channel that doesn't have the guitars over to the other side, but it seems very few songs will work with that method.

Another way is to just find a MIDI track of the song you like, bring it into FL Studio and turn it into a MP3 BT with just the instruments you want.

I don't believe you can isolate the guitar but I have used an EQ to make it more pronounced then slow the track down to a ridiculous speed and go with short clips. Hope this helps. Constipated Duck seems to be the real obstacle here. Keep pluggin.

Thanx for trying to help me!

What's really sucking is that this Pacemaker plugin lets me drop out the guitar and leaves the rest!! Arrgghhhh! It's backwards as to way I want it!

Yea...you can hit "Remove Vocals" and bye bye! But in this case the vocals are JB and his outer space guitar licks!

"But Hooper, all this time wasting trying to do that you could have already figured out the songs the old fashioned way."

....I know....Hooper's mood......'discouraged'

If it's a song that someone made and posted here, I bet if you are nice and PM them, they'll send you the individual tracks already seperated.

Ok forgot to update this.
I figured out almost the whole song now plus the other ones too.

What helped me a lot was a demo of a program that slowed down the parts and looped them. I 've tried a bunch(especially Pacemaker for Winamp) but in the end a program called SlowGold worked the best.
