My New soundcard ...is it any good?

i've just won a soundcard from ebay for £48 ($91) its a guillemot maxi studio Isis sounncard & audio midi studio...Full duplex..8 input 4 output audio/midi.it has an external rack with 8 inputs..4 outputs etc etc& some software with it...emagic logic audio proisis..cool edit proSE ..steinberg interactive product line 6..sonic foundry acid dj?..any good? its my first plunge into all this so i hope i got a decent deal..any reviews comments would be appreciated..cheers Mac

This card was fine if you pay attention to some circumstances.
1. You can't use it with Win XP or 2000, no drivers and no support
2. I am not able to run it under Athlon/Duron and Via CPU platforms, only Intel will wotrk
3. Somet6imes difficult to be kept alive in the system, maybe this phenomenon will not be with your card, but I've read some guy where it also occurs.
The good things are
Cheap today, expensive yesterday, if you got it for $91 it is really a bargain because the retailprice was around $400
If you got the latest ASIO drivers it will support VST instruments and generate a good sound as well as reliable recording quality

i cant honestly advise you on this card Macc ,tho i do think the drivers will exist somewhere , dont lose hope ! , This card sounds quite complex compared to what i have , but give me ring if you get stuck old chap
