need a bit of help with recording equipment


ok, so i got cool edit pro 2.0. so now what do i need to get my guitar playing on to the computer?
and do i need a different program to record with or can i record to cool edit pro?

what i want to know is:
what equipment do i need to record onto the computer
and what program do i record to?

Cool Edit should be able to record, so long as you have the Hardware to do it.

You'd need to have a soundcard that you can plug into directly using the line in. Or you can use the microphone socket to mic your amp that way.

Or you can use an amp modellor like some of the guys here already have.

But in tewrms of software, Cool Edit Pro 2.0 is all that you need.
