Please help me with my POD XT

Is anybody out there kind enough to help me with my POD XT?

I'm using the Guitar tracks 2.0 and I am not getting real time sound when I play. I get the playback just fine. I downloaded the drivers from the linemonkey at line 6 website, I turned up all the mics and all the volume everywhere in all the settings. Still nothing. I even unplugged my my speakers from my pc and plugged the pod in and it works fine too. When I go into my sound recorder in the start menu it does the same, it plays back fine but no real time sound. I'm about to turn a brand new piece of audio equipment into a pile of dust. Thanks in advance to those who can help me.

Howdy Scalphunter, welcome to the site.

I have a PODxt, using the USB connection, and when recording from into WaveLab I have to set the preferences in WaveLab to point to the PODxt when recording vs. the sound card. Perhaps you have to do something like with GT?

Also, in the windows volume settings, you can choose properties from the menu and you have two options, playback and recording. You could check that also.

Hope you get it working, its a nice toy.

This is a photo of the Channel in cakewalk sonar 4 SP edition. If guitar tracks is anything like this this will show you where you choose the input from your POD Xt. It should be listed there along with your soundcard. Just choose the pod XT and you should be on your way.

hope this helps.
