Recording and sequencing


Wondering who is using what around here to create.

As for me: Mostly Digital Performer with Reason. Some outboard gear.

wow $800 for 'digital performer'.... looks like a great program, is it easy to use? i use a cheap program "powertracks"... i wonder where the major difference is

Not sure what the maj diff are. I use the sound card that came with the MOTU 2408. I think its called PCI 341. Something like that.

I'm still learning that too Joy, I recently got an Audigy 24 bit card (usb actually) and the difference in both recording and playback are marginally better.

Cakewalk 9.0 but I have Sonar so I'm going to (if I get the time) learn this more recent sequencer. 9.0 feels like a warm' safe place tho!

I'm considering buying Garage Band from Apple for my Mac. It's got 1000s of sampled instruments to play with and jam/compose.
