Recording Direct With An Audio Interface Box (Help!)
Hey all, I recently purchased what I think is an external soundcard on the basis of a salesman who assured me it would make my music sound a lot better.
Anyways, I picked up the Tascam US-122L and I am now trying to figure out how to direct record with it. I am having a problem getting my computer (a fairly new Dell) to recognize the signal from the Tascam to my computer.
Here is my setup:
1) Guitar goes into my Digitech RP100 Fx processor
2) The signal then goes into my Tascam
3) The signal is then supposed to go onto my computer.
However, I just can't get the computer to receive the signal. I've tried the headphone jack of the Tascam and the signaled is recieved just fine there.
Also, I've tried two different recording softwares (Cubase and Guitar Tracks) and neither of them playback the signal nor can I get the signal to come out of my pc speakers.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Do I need to mess around with the Windows sound settings somehow (I've tried the usually tweaking, Line In, Mic, Volume Recording/Playback settings). Can't get it too work though.
Thanks!
