Thoughts on External Soundcards

WIll they significantly improve my sound if my previous setup involved running my Digitech RP100 fx processor directly into my computers internal soundcard via the computers 1/4" microphone jack?

Wait a minute, they actually have external soundcards?? Haha I've never heard of that. Damn, I wish I knew about that when I had my laptop haha. I couldn't upgrade it.

Hi Ulnarian;
Short answer is yes.
why is because you said your stock PCz internal sound, and they are low quality.
BTW never seen a 1/4 on a PC, 8th inch ya,
but that's neither here nor there, the main thing is that you want to plug your guitar into your peddle (rp-100) and go out to your PC.

If you have a laptop then you might want to go with a

or a PreSonus Firebox or a similar brand
I use a motu mkll usb
