Tutorial :: - Using Fruity Loops To Proram Drums.

Ok 1st let me say this. Theres 2 ways to do this. You can use the built in sounds in fruity loops or you can use soundfonts. Its different from each one.

Today ill be concentrating on soundfonts, cause i feel they sould 100000 times better than the built in FL sounds.

1st make sure you can access your soudfonts from fruity. Their are 2 ways to do this. Make a new folder in your fruity loops data directory OR im port them from insidre fruity.

2. Choose your soundfont from the menu on the left, and drag and drop it into a track.

3. Open the PIANO ROLL VIEW.

4. Each bloc you see corresponds to a note and a beat on the staff. just draw then notes in on the staff where you want them to sound. Moving up and down changes the drum sounds. Moving right creates the rythm then play in.

5. The default setting when drawing is 1/4 notes. you can change this by grabing the very right hade side of the block thats on the screen and drag it to the legnth you want the note.

You can use this same process to write drum, bass, synth, string, or any instruments you have in fruity loops. Its a gre FREE sequencer, that has DXI and soundfont support.

hope this helps
