Urgent.. Problem with windows volume and record control..

Ok.. Today, for some odd reason, i was using my computer ( running on windows xp home edition )
and when i went to bring up my volume control it didn't work.. i would click it, to restore it.. and it wouldn't restore and appear on my screen.. i tried this with record control, and it didnt work either.. i tried getting into it several ways..and it still didnt work.. it just opens and stays minimized at the bottom of my screen.. i use these controls every 10 minutes, so i really need to fix this, and fix it soon! any help and suggestions are appreciated!

AH! i fixed it! and with ease, i did system restore to last night, and now im cruising.. i love you windows xp, besides all the bugs and security breaches you were made with [img]images/smilies/icon_lol.gif[/img]
