I think it would be helpful to recommend software. Some people here are new to recording and I guess it may help them to know what software is best/value for money/free etc to use for recording.
I am lucky enought to have bought a copy of Cubase 2 from ebay for £50 ($90) and I love it. but I used guitar tracks before and that was cool.
What I would love to see in this room is some tips on recording.
Na, I'm still figuring this one out
Like you, I use GT3 for the simple quick stuff. It's perfect for importing a backing and jamming over. I love the easy to use interface. Basically, anything that doesn't involve midi, I use GT3. When programming drums and stuff in midi...that's when I use Cubase SX!
hi there...i'm using magix music studio 7...it was pretty cheap...around $30.00 canadian from a business depot or office depot shop...it's got many tools and features and even comes with a separate midi studio...it's received great ratings in the various computer music mags...it comes with a comprehensive written guide instead of some sort of adobe acrobat or online version...i'm just using it for recording home demos...anyone else using this software?...let me know...i need to know how to add drum loops and fills...thanks - paul
