What the hell does a Tascam Audio/Midi interface do?
Someone bought me one of these things for Xmas and I've been fiddling around with it. Thing is, I can't really seem to figure out what it does though, lol! (although it does come with Cubase which, after I get a PHd in I suppose will come in handy...).
I assume that it somehow makes the quality of your tone better when you record on the computer ( I record my guitar instrumentals). However, my music doesn't sound any different to me whether I connect to my computers USB through the Tascam or whether I just plug my guitar directly into the mic jack of my computer (without the Tascam).
Am I doing something wrong here?
