This is a quick clip of my 1972 Traynor Bassmaster that I tweaked to Plexi specs ( volume pot switch, 330uF cap across V2 and a bias pot) I am using a Strat with a custom wound High Order 8.2 A2 pickup. The amp gets extremely brown, I get the Plexi vibe for about 2800.00 less than the original Marshall ( these go for 200 to 250 or so). For those dreaming of a Plexi but ain't got the bucks the Bassmaster fits the bill perfectly. It is an amazing amp. Traynor Bassmaster ( Plexified)
I am using Eminence GB12 ( greenback clones) and just a single mic, a P.O.S. Aphex I got in the early 90s. An SM-58 clone basically. I actually like it better than my old 57. I am useing a Boss delay in line with the amp and then added just a touch or verb at mixdown. I went into a Korg D32X that I just got and am extremely impressed with. Very easy to use.
