Re: Advice?

Ive got one. its a good amp all you would need would be a distorton pedal in front of it and a little delay. its a good all around amp.

Re: Advice?

Thanx guys I am gonna get the Jcm2000 TSL head but instead of the marshall cab i am gonna get a behringer one for 250. Those behringers are insanely good and are so cheap compared to everything else.

Re: Advice?

Make sure you get the cab with the jensens in it. I hear bad things about the behringer "shark" speakers.

Re: Advice?

Im a big fan of behringer equipment. Best 2 pieces of equipment ive ever bought were the v-amp2 and the gmx212.

Re: Advice?

tough to make your mind up on such matters . i surgest finding some audio samples or trying them out in a store if you can . but if you cant do either . then go on instinct man . or wait n see what everyone else has to say lol . people diff . if these amps give different tones . then alot of people are gonna say berhinger and alot are gonna say marshall . in the end . you are buying it . so go with what you feel is likely to be best . remember . buying cheap means buying more than once lol

Re: Advice?

I used to have a JCM2000 DSL 401 combo. I really liked it. So the DSL 50 watt Im sure is great too.

For what its worth, I played the TSL 60 watt model and hated it. Id stay with the DSL half-stack. Good luck

Re: Advice?

Ok, got a question here, here is my situation: Stopped playing guitar about 5 years ago.....still have an early 80's USA made Kramer with Duncans in it and use a Roland GP-16 as my primary effects unit and ran that through a Peavey Bandit 112 as my practice/rehearsal rig....and now that I have some free time, Im getting back into playing but am married, have other $$ committments BUT need a new amp that has a decent amount of power (I am not playing out any time soon) with an effects loop to send to the GP-16 (I picked this up for $30 and it was definitely worth it-it had one owner who was a friend and didnt want it any more). I pretty much play Lynch, VH, Metallica type stuff - I need the best amp I can for the buck...tryin to stay as low $$ as I can but still get something decent...love the sound of the 5150 but it is too damn loud for what I do, too one-dimensional (the clean sound is not so crystal-clean sounding) and even on eBay they run $500+....any advice?
