My nephew is playing a show for his high school buddies this week so I let him borrow my
Marshall cab. He liked the sound of my Super Bassman so his dad bought him a Fender blackface Bassman. I've never seen it but I assume it looks much like this:
Well.... Matt hooked his 4 ohm head into the 8/16 ohm side of the cabinet. It didn't hurt the cab a bit, but he said his head squealed then smoked a little bit right above a tube then the fuse blew. He said he replaced the fuse, hooked it up correctly and turned it on and it is making a loud hum.
I told him to take it to be repaired because he probably burned something up. He thinks it's just a tube. Anyone on here have any experience or advice about this?
