Any VHT Pittbull CL owners

Just wondering if there's anybody out there that has the CL. I just got one and love it, but I was expecting alittle more pre-amp gain out of it. Although, when I push it with a OD it sounds awesome!!! Any thoughts? -Peace

I have a Pitbull 100CL without EQ. I really like it. When I first got it, I had the same impression that it didn't have that much gain. After playing the amp for a while I've found that it really does have a lot of gain, but VHT amps are very clear sounding compared with something like say a Mesa Rectifier, and don't have a lot of SATURATION. I think it's the saturation that you are missing, and the OD pedal adds some of that in.

Congratulations on your VHT score. I have a 50 CL with EQ and love it. It is a great amp.

I have a VHT Ulra Lead and used to own a 50 CL. Both great amps, but I prefere the UL.
