"Word has it him leaving is a done deal. That is why they are working on Satch and Lynch amps.
This was confirmed in a round about way by a Peavey service rep friend. They even deleted a post about this topic on the forum. The said something like negioations between Ed and Peavey are a private matter and not open to public discussion. Ed's formal contract with Peavey is up this month.
I think for the time being it will be status quo. Until Ed finds a venue for his new line of gear. Neither party is happy with one another. Ed not following though signing off on a 5150 II combo or mini stack, Word has it Ed is not happy with the Satch amp and says it is in direct compitition with his.
Anyway, we will see what pans out. If all of the EVH lines end or just the amps. Time will tell."
Interesting that Peavey is working on a Lynch amp, when George Lynch
(of Dokken fame, for those who may not know) has been using Bogner for a while. (Check out this little scorcher!)
--From Bogner web-site-- "Eddie Van Halen
entrusted Reinhold (Mr. Bogner) to overhaul and revitalize Eddies #1 Marshall Plexi, Eddie was pleased. BOGNER AMPLIFICATION was born."
I'm just speculating, but Eddie might rekindle a relationship there...
