Great News for PODxt & PODxt Pro Owners!

Announcement: New PODxt+Pro update in the works!

http://line6.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb....3&t=007158

Was talking to a buddy at Sam Ash and he was telling me Line 6 had this and a bunch of new shit to show off at the NAMM show. This update is great in that it incorporates just about everything users have been griping about (follow threads on the forum for specifics).

Just a few mentioned:

- 4 band semi-parametric Post-EQ savable per-patch
- ALL studio mode cabinets & mics have been completely redone
- 128 preset Channel Memory locations (previously, there were only 64)
- 4 additional Line 6 original amp models + 2 additional cab models (including “L6 Treadplate” – an alternate version of the “Treadplate Dual” amp model that is more like the popular one in the POD 2.0)
- The generic always-available compressor was replaced with a model of a vintage studio compressor (modeled for Bass PODxt)
- A UI change turns 3 of the “soft edit buttons” into Gate, EQ and Manual Mode shortcuts/status indicators
- Assignable minimum setting for attached volume pedal controller
- “Bank Up/Down” mode on connected foot controller no longer times out

Get excited, beeoches!

Sounds good...I take it this'll work for the Flextone III combo's as well?

Something to look forward to. Of course, the change in every preset may be a gripe for some users.

But if we are to believe them that they will sound even better, who am I to complain ?

Your patches, based on your prior version, 1.5, will almost definitely require "tweaking" after applying this update. I will just do a factory reset and start from scratch.

I haven't got any that I have tweaked anyway. I just have the factories, plus ones I have downloaded from the net.

So long as my Eruption patch and Back In Black patch stay sounding great, I won't notice any difference !

Believe me, I would tweak if I knew fucking how to tweak! My POD refuses to conform and download anything off the site so I use 2 settings...you know what they are!

i think the xt has more options in fx and stuff(vetta technology??) , stuff that isnt on board in the 2.0 version even the old floorboard will not work on the xt bc they made all new ones
