Re: line 6 ax2 212

I used to have one, and I loved it for a long time, but after a while I found all I did was tweek it trying to get a good marshall sound. Eventually I just bought a Marshall. After having the Marshall, I can't imagine having anything else.

Re: line 6 ax2 212

I had an AX212 from 1998 to 2003. It's a great amp. I sold it to buy a Duo Verb. I love the Duo Verb at gig levels. The AX2 was nice because of the effects. I miss that about it. It also had some great Fender tones. The Dou Verb is a fine amp too. I just miss the built in Rotary, TS and Chorus sometimes. Got a DM4 to make up for the TS/Distortion box problems.

Re: line 6 ax2 212

I still have my Axsys 212 and it is mainly used as my brother's main amp as I have a marshall half-stack, I really liked the amp when I used it but for some reason I could never get it to be very loud, I'd had it worked on and everything and always my buddy's 30w fender was always louder than the Line 6, the main problem with this was I would increase the volume and it would start breaking up. I don't think it breaks up anymore but it still is nowhere near as loud as my 100w marshall, and it is 100w as well

I agree. I loved my AX2 for recording, but live, it wasn't clean enough (seemed to break up too much). My Duo Verb is great live, but doesn't sound nearly as good at lower levels.

Re: line 6 ax2 212

i made a head out of it and did run it through 2 4x12 marshall cabs when i played in a band , it was loud enough LOL a friend made a cabinet for me with the 2 original speakers it sounds better as when the ax2 was a combo but the 2 marhall cabs sounded louderrrr

Line 6 AX2

I had one and I spent a ridiculous amount of time tweeking it. I graduated to the Spider II and thought the distortion were great but it lacked all of the great clean sounds that you could get from the AX2. I finally broke down and got a Vetta Combo....No Complaints at all !!!
