Line 6 Edit patch - see real amp/cab/effect names in Line 6 Edit

After applying this patch (attached) you will see the real names of the originals for which the Line 6 amps/cabs/effects are modeled in the Line 6 Edit program. For instance, you'll see "Fender Twin Reverb" in the editor while your PODxt will display "Double Verb", etc.

Just download the attachment in this thread, make a backup of your current "Line 6 Edit.jar" file (so you can go back to the Line 6 names if you want), then unzip the "Line 6 Edit.jar" file into your "Line 6 Edit" program folder. The usual path for Line 6 Edit is "C:\Program Files\Line6\Line 6 Edit". This patch is for the latest version (2.03).

There might be but I wouldn't try it, even if I thought I could do it. You'd be flashing your own POD. Not sure that it would work after that [img]images/smilies/icon_surprised.gif[/img]

Does this only work with the XT? I tried it with the 2.0 but didn't see a difference [img]images/smilies/dunno.gif[/img]

I'm not sure about a POD 2.0. I don't have one to test it. I'll have a look at it tonight. I do know that there are also Bass amp names in there that I did not touch yet. I'll have to grab the bass PODxt manual and update those later.

Make sure you are running version 2.03 before you apply this patch.

It is 2.03 but still it says Invalid file format...

I tried it, but I dont't like it. I wanna have the name for every amp in my editprogram, in my POD and in the book. I'll change it when everythng can be changed an not just the editprogramme.. I just got accustomed to the different names of the amps anyway.

What behavior do you see in this regard when the patch is not applied? Do you get the same error without the patch?

No error without the patch...i use winzip and unzip it and then
in Line 6 edit open file and "invalid file format" i guess i'm doing something wrong...
