Jam

Line 6 Tone Patches

You always go to sites and they have a bunch of random tones all over the place. I would love to have an area where people post their tones by song.
As an example:

Smells like Teen Spirit: Done on solid body guitar, humbuckers
Teen Spirit Clean tone.l6t
Teen Spirit Crunch Tone.l6t
Teen Spirit Lead tone.l6t

Each post should have the song posted, and all tones that are used for the entire song. Just an idea...

Thumbs up

Tones for Entire Songs

Guys,

This is how I get POD XT tones for entire songs:

Go to customtone.com
Use the pull down menu to select your product (xt live, pro, etc.)
In the box at the top, in the show menu select COMPATIBLE
In the from box select LINE6 CRAFTED TONES
In the search bar type in the name of the song, band or guitar player

There are not that many songs, but you will find a fair amount of various artists from KISS, VAN HALEN, NIRVANA, PINK FLOYD and many more. That's all the info I have have so hopefully it helps

The Shredder89 is an unknown quantity at this point
I was actually wondering if their was a place where one could find custom tone settings for Line 6 amps, like my Spider II 2x12.

I just wish Custom Tone didnt have so many different versions of the same patch. I gave up using it.

You would find a patch for Metallica - Master of Puppets, then on the next page would be an older revision of the same patch by the same guy, which is really confusing when you dont end up knowing which is the best.

Wish it was a better system

Terrible tones

The problem I have with the tones on Customtone is that some of them are horrible. Not that I have the best ears in the world but there are some on there that sound nothing like what they say they were trying for. And as mentioned, there are six versions of that one bad patch.

Thanks for the Dokken tones!!!!!

Jeff

Line 6 Spider 3

The line 6 spider 3 you can get a lot of presets for songs and bands because they got a AC/DC preset for back in black and I have played it and the amp is for me.
