Re: line6 guitarport
I use guitarport software on my podxt, not the guitarport hardware. I have been using it over a year and I think it's great. Nothing like picking up your guitar in the evening and jamming with Mick and the Stones

Re: line6 guitarport
I started out using this before I made the move to the PODxt and it is a great little unit, I was happy with the tones I was getting out of it and did quite a bit of recording with it.

Re: line6 guitarport
I also use the Guitar Port software on my PODxt. Find a tone you like, and poink (for want of a better sound effect) it's in my PODxt.
Great tones out of it ! Easy to use !

Re: line6 guitarport
I started out with a guitar port and liked it but when I switched to an M-Audio 1010LT Soundcard it would not allow guitarport to use its own soundcard. But you could put the signal from another computer into the M-Audio directly. I have tried a Flextone II, I like it but I have recently ordered the rack Beringer amp modelor, so I don't have an update for it yet , stay tuned. Re: line6 guitarport
Iv'e had my port for a year. I run from the computer, through a Behringer desk into a powered amp, then out to monitor speakers.
Sounds superb.
I agree with Stingx, its easy to loose yourself with it.
Good piece of kit.

Re: line6 guitarport
I use GP Online with my PODxt. It's well worh the $$ for the editor, patches and jam trax alone. Some good lessons there too. GP doesn't have all the models & effects of the podxt, but the price is right!

Re: line6 guitarport
I've been using GuitarPort since they 1st went on sale... I use it more than my amps. Since the upgrade they relesed about a year ago, the GuitarPort has all of the features of my Vetta II with a much cooler visual apeal... However, it is a little hard finding software that allows you to record with it or use the GP backing tracks (they only like to play in the GP software). But I am able to use the standard Windows Sound Recorder to record wav files and tone samples...

Which Behringer rack amp modeler did you end up with? I have the Behringer V-amp pro rack unit and it's a great piece of gear for the money. (I paid $175 new)

Re: line6 guitarport
I want to get a pod xt, and I know you can record with it via usb cable. Is there no software that comes with the pod tho? You have to buy that seperate. I need to know because if I get a pod, then I don't want the actual port, just the software. So what would be the best for me to do for recording software with the pod.
Thanks.
