Marshall JCM800 - what distortion pedal?

Hi guys, so i just scored a Marshall JCM800 head &angled cab from my friend for £300, probably equls about $600 don't quote me on that though haha.

But anyway i couldn't let the oppurtunity go its not everyday you find a deal like that, so what i'd like to know is, do any of you people here own a JCM800, if so what do you use to get a good crunch tone?

I'm looking at buying the Boss DS-1 or the MXR ZW overdrive, but i don't know which to try, i have already the Boss MT-2 metal zone pedal, but i'm not a huge fan of it.

So does anyone have any suggestions, i'm looking at getting a sort of Ozzy/Zakk Wylde style tone if that helps anyone. Thanks for any help
