New amp

I'm supposed to purchase a new amp for the first time in the coming year. I've decided on the Ibanez TB15R or a Marshall MG15CDR. The amp is supposed to be a starter/practice one. Any ideas or suggestions for a newbie, please?

don't know much, i'll sit this one out. but i think if you asked me i'd go with the marshall since it has a higher rating and better reviews than the ibanez on harmony-central.

Re: New amp

well, again this may not be very constructive or whatever but: go with personal choice! if you like the ibanez, take the ibanez. if you like the marshall, take the marshall. no point in getting something you don't like, although it may be of a slightly better quality cause if you don't like it you'd probably dump it or not play it, kinda waste of money don't ya think? if you like something you'd probably enjoy it better and make use of it more often or even turn a blind eye or better yet, ignore its "bad points"

Re: New amp

my friend had a marshall 10 watter sounded horrible. I have a Ibanez 10 watter that sounds preety good. If your interested let me know I'll show you some pics or if you want sound clips.

Hehe, yah I live in Spain, and you're right, shipping costs would be high. Do you have any pics/sound files for the 15 watt amp?
