Question re: POD XT and V-AMP Pro recording abilities
Ok, since there are so many of people on here with varied experience with these modellers I thought I could get some good feedback.
I have a Vamp-2, and I totally dig it. I would not have believed that you could get this good of a tone, this easily, ever. I have a question though: Do both the Vamp-Pro and the POD XT allow transfer/recording to your PC? I know they both have digital outputs, but has anyone here actually recorded using them? Any thoughts on sound quality?
That is the only thing that is missing from the V-Amp2 (and the POD 2.0, I believe for that matter) - the ability to get your recording digitally into your PC. Now that I hear how good amp modeling is these days, that is the next level I want to achieve: full digital capture.
Any thoughts or experiences with these 2 in this area? If they both do it, then I will stick with V-AMP because I like the tone, but if the VAMP-Pro does not do it, it might make me consider the POD XT to get that ability.
Thanks,
Amra
