Re: Roland Vg-88 V2

Aye, superb bits of kit. I don't even use the standard pickups on my guitar anymore. The patches I use are the stock ones and just roll off the reverb and delay.
The synths are ok, but I never had a use for them yet.

Tracking is ok to good imho. some nasty overtones and glitches occasionally creep in, making it unsuitable for live work (but this could possibly be down to how I have set it up ...being a lefty, there are no off the shelf roland ready guitars)

Additionally I found was it failed to cut through (same as every bit of modelling gear I have used) compared to a standard guitar/analogue fx/amp during live gigs. I ended up having to go direct to backline and use a monitor for the stage sound. The modelling/digital sounds tend to take away certain dynamics which sound ok if yours is the only guitar in the band but suffer in comparison to a real analogue set up. Just my experience.
