rectifier

They make a single rectifier? Is it heavy sounding?

Of course it is!

It sounds the same as the Duals and Triples for the most part.

Its 2 channel, no bold-spongy switch or diode/tube rectifier switch like the Duals and Triples, selectable bias (6l6 or El34), solo output like the Duals and Triples, and it uses a sold-state rectifier rather than the tube rectifier, witch most people seem to use on the Duals and Triples anyways.
It 50 watts and extremely loud with my 2x12 Recto cab with Vintage 30's.

Best peice of advice I can give you is not to treat the EQ like a normal one. The rubix cube that is the mesa eq works with each other and not independantly of each other, eg: if you wanted to scoop the mids, don't do it by turning your mid knob all the way down, it will sound poo!! The best thing to do is dial in some of the factory settings and work from there, it will take you a while to get use to it but there are some awesome tones witing to be discovered!!! Have fun.
