V-Amp2 making my own settings

So here's the deal. I got a Behringer V-amp2 and I want to make my own settings for the amps and effects... So here's what's happening:

I've selected the Modern Hi Gain (my favourite for distortion!) an then pressed "B" from the configuration keys pressed the two arrows simultaneously to edit the preset so I selected the cabs the quantity of Reverb and when it comes to selecting the noise gate value when I exit (pressing the Tuner key) it didn't save the noise gate value. Plus when I press the "C" key to edit the preset, when I select a different amp it doesn't save the amp selection I made.

I know there's something wrong that I'm doing, can you tell me what it is? Am I misunderstanding how to store my settings into banks?

I think you may be pressing "b" too soon. Is it a preset you are editing then trying to save? If so, call up the preset, edit all parameters and then press "b". I don't know, it might work. I own one myself and just picked up the manuel and read it. I also use the modern high gain setting. Good luck!
