Vetta Tone-Insane Chunk

I have been playing around with my recently aquired Line 6 Vetta II head and made this patch. I call it "Insane Chunk" becasue it's a Line 6 Insane amp combined with a Line 6 Chunk Chunk.

It sounds really cool cranked through a Marshall cab....but I am not sure how well it will translate to this clip. Turn your speakers up all the way to get the full effect.

Re: Vetta Tone-Insane Chunk

I have been a "Tube Head" and still love the sound of a full tube amp....but I think with the Vetta II Line 6 has finally crossed over and made a solid state amp sound as good or better than most tube amps.

I am really beginning to love this amp.

Re: Vetta Tone-Insane Chunk

Yes Line 6 are great with their modeling. A really great thing I read on their forum was how they said that with every amp come the lumps or undesired qualities that get edited out in the post EQ in the studio. They said they model the amps exactly as they are, which means the lumps are included and it gives them the most accurate recreation of the real thing. A little tweaking smooths those lumps and a wonderful tone can be had just like the real thing.

Yes I do have to blame Wah Wah for talking me into getting this amp.

I don't think there is any tone this thing can't easily do...but for now I just leave it on this setting, turn it up to 11, and entertain myself for hours at a time....just slamming on E.

Re: Vetta Tone-Insane Chunk

Dude...the Vetta ROX! Nice guitar work too!

Ive always been a Les Paul/Marshall guy and and last year I was up in Canada and my bro-in-law had a Vetta. I couldnt believe the tonage it was capable of. I started thinking and thinking about it and when my local dealer got a Vetta II Combo I had to have it. I basically havent touched my Marshall since then after many years of faitfhful service.

Plus, I went ahead...just for the heck of it andf bought the Variax 700 hard tail. It seemlessly integrates with the Vetta for a range of tones, amp models and guitar models that cant be duplicated. I use it for everything now. Recording, live small show, live big show, solo shows. Its the most versatile combination of guitar model/amp model Ive ever seen.

Is there any way you can post up that patch somewhere? I would love to check it out.

Re: Vetta Tone-Insane Chunk

"Tonage".....that's a good description. When I first got it I was afraid it was a bit light compared to my 5150II.....until I figured how to operate it properly. Now I can make if about at heavy as I need.

I have never tried the Variax guitar because I am afraid I might want one.......and they are $$$$$.

Attached is the patch....and check out the Armin mod I have installed in mine HERE
