Will the pod record straight into the pc with only your amp\'s tone?

straight in without having the pod effects? I would want the effects also, but sometimes maybe just my amp's natural tube tone.

Also can anyone tell me-you know how everyone complains about solid state tone. I'm wondering if you have a killer sounding tube amp and you play throught the pod, does it kill the tube tone, or does the tube sound combine with the pod tone. I guess I'm asking would the pod sound the same through a solid state or a tube amp. Or would it sound better in the tube amp?

I run out of my pod into 2 mesa boogie 1/2 stacks.BUT, I run the output on the pod to the effects return, not straight in the amp so you get just the amp tone with the effects of the pod.works great for me.

You didn't say which POD you have.

If you have a 2.0, you can front your amp with the POD as long as you first turn the cab simulation off (see your instruction manual, it's the AIR switch but I forgot the position). Next you want to select an amp model that is nnot colored and keep the drive down to nothing.
The jazz clean out to work that just fine I guess.

Let me know how it works for you!

[/ QUOTE ]I actually don't even have one yet. I'm getting the xt soon tho. Not colored, do you mean not an overpowering setting or something? Also, does turning the cab simulation off and putting it on a non colored setting. Is that so you retain your amp tone as well? Sorry about so many questions, I'm not too technical and I don't even have it yet.
