Best rivalry in all of sports?

I'm sitting here at work thinking about the Eagles and Cowgirls rivalry and it had me thinking about starting this thread. What do you guys think is the greatest rivalry in all of sports? Raiders/Broncos? Yanks/Sox? Skins/Cowboys? Kings/Lakers? There are a ton of em out there. And I guess I should ask what rival team that you despise the most, either as a kid or currently.

Oh hell yea, that was a good one. The Celtics and Sixers was a good one as well. To this day I still get pissed off when I see a person in Philly wearing a Celtics jersey. It just irratates the fuck outta me.

The rivalry that I'm totally into is the Flyers vs Devils. I dont hate many teams in sports, but the Devils are at the top of the list. I truly with all my heart dislike that team. The Cowgirls are second, and the Celtics are third.

I was totally into the Flyers vs Toronto rivalry years back too, but that seems to have quited down a bit since we pretty much own their asses!! You hear that Tribb!!!! [img]images/smilies/woot.gif[/img]

Steelers/Browns was always a big one for me. Not quite as much anymore since they aren't the original Browns. But now I get to hate the Ravens too!

I would have to say some of the best rivalries are in College sports...Auburn vs Alabama...the "Iron Bowl"...heck, coaches get fired for loosing that game alone....Just never could like Bama though....

Another hockey one that is good is the Blackhawks vs Red Wings. The hawks suck now, but there is still a ton of bad blood between these original six teams. Whenever they play there is bound to be some hard hits and fights.

Living in Boston, and now just outside of, it's kind of nice to have the rivalries: Celtics vs Lakers/Pistons/Sixers; Sox/Yanks; Bruins/Canadiens and Patriots vs AFC east.

It's funny with the Pats. Their rival seems to switch. It was the Jets with the whole Parcells thing, then Bills with the Bledsoe/Milloy thing, and Miami pretty much stays constant.

Except for football, all the others have had some pretty good brawls.

That was definetly a good rivalry, those two teams hated each other lol!

I can't believe nobody mentioned all the rivalries with the Bulls. Bulls/Knicks, Bulls/Pacers, Bulls/Heat. Those were the days right there.

The Toronto - Ottawa NHL rivalry has really heated up in the past few years. The whole Sundin vs Alfredson thing was funny! I always enjoy watching those guys play!
