England vs Wales this weekend !!!

As unfortunately, our Premiership fixture list takes a break in order to allow for the heavy International Fixture list, there's some great home ties this weekend !!!

Not least of all is England vs Wales, kick off 3 p.m. As usual, this fixture throws up some interesting statistics once again. Mark Hughes, the Wales manager, leads the team out in his penultimate game as manager, as after the Azerbaijan game he will step down in order to pursue his role as Blackburn Rovers manager full time ([img]images/smilies/woot.gif[/img]).

Anyway, the last time England played Wales, guess who scored the winner ? Yup, old Sparky Hughes, on his Wales debut.

Hopefully, with Sven-Goran Eriksson pondering a 3 striker attack force against the Welsh, there will be no trepeat performance ! He can bow out in style in his last name, and get torn apart against us !!!

It'll be a great tie, and I'm looking forward to it already !!!

And hopefully, for me at least, young Rovers striker Jon Stead will score his first goal of the season tonight against Wales tonight in the Under 21s at that fine stadium at Ewood Park !!!

Looks like there won't be any Scottish or Welsh influence on the 2006 World Cup once again, but Blackburn fans will be more than happy to take Mr. Hughes off your hands !!!
