March Madness 2006
I figure I might as well get this going with Conference Tourney's getting underway.
How about Gerry Macnamera today with that 3 as Syracuse edged Cinncinnati?YES SIR!!!Boeheim going off on theSU paper afterward at the press conference? They voted G-Mac as the most overrated player..whatever....Boeheim was right.....G-Mac has been the shiznit ever since coming to SU.
Period.

That was pretty impressive. Always liked Syracuse. I was glad they won the Final Four against Texas, was it, in 2004?
Here are my thoughts: Don't expect another 2005 March Madness, especially Final Four. That was a once-in-a-lifetime tournament, and I don't think we'll ever see one as exciting again. However, it will be competitive, and thats all I'm really looking for.
My champion pick: Duke all the way baby!
I'm glad to see the Illini at least doing alright. Not expecting anything as exciting as last year. I remember it like yesterday. I was at my grandparents house and started watching the first half of the Arizona / Illini game. We got about 5 minutes into the 2nd half, and we left. We put the game on the radio, and it seemed as if the Illini were dead. My parents kept saying "So much for the good season." Well, we go to eat. About five minutes before we get there, the Illini go on a HUGE run. With less than 2 minutes left, the score was something like 80-75 Arizona. Then we hear that Deron Williams nails a three and another two to tie it up. They went to overtime. We were in dinner for about an hour, got back into the car, and heard that the game was still on. I fucking SCREAMED in the car. I was so happy they ended up with the win.
Then in the end, those North Carolina bastards cheated their way to a victory. You saw it, it was bullshit. That Sean May asshole was fouling EVERYONE, and they dont call shit on him, while James Augustine gets three fouls in a minute for touching a guy. What the fuck?!?! And then, these guys traveled like crazy, while the Illini would take one step into a lay-up and a travel was called. I was so pissed. The REAL champion of last years tournament was Illinois. Thats why this year, I was so glad North Carolina sucked.

OK, my mistake. Texas was in the Final Four though, right? Guess I just have my facts mixed up!

G-Mac is one of the only Syracuse players to be that good for four straight years. I'm not sure how far they can go in the Tourney, The last four games had to take a toll on the starters. Unfortunately they don't have a very deep bench. Hey you never know, they did beat the number one team in the country!

As much as I love the Illini, and am pulling for them, I can't honestly say they're the best team. At least better than Duke. They could be #2, but Duke will stay #1

Man, it's been such a brutally up and down year for my KY Wildcats that I don't know if I am even going to fill out a bracket. I lost a lot of interest in College BB because of our typically great program having an embarrassment of a season. I don't think we deserved to get in the tournament this year, much less as high as a number 8 seed. I know that may sound funny to say about a program that typically gets no lower than a 4th seed, but I'm definitely in that "see ya next year" frame of mind already.
