PROPER Fantasy Football 2004-2005...

Hi there,

Does anyone want to take part in the bbc fantasy football competition this season ? That is, as in Soccer ?

BBC Fantasy Football

We have done it here at work a few times, and I actually got up to number 35 at one point.

We can't register until the 17th August, and the season doesn't then start until 28th August (plenty of time to see who's shite and who's not).

Basic rules, maximum of two players from any one team, can't go over £50 mil in total, 6 transfers per month. Gets reset at end of month and you have unlimited transfers in and out before the new month game starts.

Anyway, register your teams when the season starts, and I'll add you to our mini league, or tell you how you can join it...

Sorry mate, no offence intended at all. I just didn't want to call it Fantasy Soccer, as us Brits don't refer to it as that ourselves, and I didn't want to cause confusion with your thread that was already open.

So I put a piss-take title in there, I wasn't trying to get a rise out of anyone.

I would have joined in your game, but I have absolutely no idea what I would be doing... So I thought, why not get the dudes and dudettes on guitars101.com to have a go at Fantasy Football ????

But, I have rephrased my original title, hope this helps...

So on the website for this it says fantasy football? Just curious how it would differentiate between the two [img]images/smilies/smile.gif[/img]

Well, keep an eye out. If you see a new team registered full of names such as Thierry Henry, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Damien Duff, Steven Gerard, etc. Then I'll most likely have got the two mixed up !!!!

I'd like to say that I could monitor wrong submissions at this end, but Chelsea have signed so many bloody players again this season that it would be extremely difficult to determine whether the names were valid Premiership Players or not !

Remember, you can take a lucky dip to start from, just so you have a team registered, then you can chop and change with unlimited transfers up until the first game starts on :

So plenty of time to fine tune your team !!!
