Shit, I would love that. Louisiana Lightnin' was one of my favorite Yanks of all time. Got to see him pitch a few times when we lived in Northern Jersey.
Nettles was my all-time favorite, though. Me and my buds would practice diving for grounders like him in the back yard eveyday when we were kids.

Donnie is the epitome of a Yankee. It kills me everytime I think of how he plugged away all those years without a ring as a player. I remember his last year as a player, and Seattle knocking us out of the playoffs. I was so pissed, just for his sake.
Oh well, on that note - I'm off to whip up some ballgame food before I get the game up on the computer here. Catch up with ya a little later, dude.

I'm 14...these 3 games are my first Yankee games ever and the yanks are trailing the Jays by 3 games. Its the last series of the season, and obviously, the yanks need to win all 3 games to force a one game playoff. So, were sitting on the right field line BEHIND the wall, great game on friday...Butch Weineger blasts a game winning HR in the 9th and the Yanks win! All 7 Yankee fans are going wild!
Saturday's game: Phil Neikro is pitching for the Yanks....good game...and this is the part that I will NEVER forget...up till 85 the Jays had never been to the post season. When the last out was made and the Jays won....30,000 people rush the field! Over the walls on the baselines....over the walls in the outfield...anyway to get on that field!! An incredible and awesome sight!!
I will never forget my first games!!!
and the Yanks didnt even win...

Yep I was there bro!!
It was close to 50,000 people, the bleachers were full waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay
beyond the out field fence, those bleachers were designed for football so
those people were in a different neighborhood.

I was in that other neighborhood!! 100 feet BEHIND the right field wall!
The only thing I could really see was the endzone.... it said ARGANAUTS.

You'd see the batter swing and then hear the ball hit the catcher's
mitt about 5 minutes later.

Guy has been a hell of a gem in the rough this year. Makes you wonder how he didn't have better success in the majors prior to this.
Nice outing by Chacon tonight too. I'm feeling good going into the series with Boston this week. Bring it onnnnnnnn!
