If this thread is for the greatest team in sports, where is all the Dallas Cowboys chatter?

And talk smack somewhere else.

Anybody notice that it is entirely possible for A-Rod to chase a triple crown title this year?

Last time I looked, Ortiz (that doughnut-munching cracksmoker ) was around 119 ribbies and Manny has 115. A-Rod was around 109. A hot month makes that more than attainable.

BA has Michael Young and Damon tied at .323 and A-Rod just behind at .319.

Yep. Question is, which Al Leiter is showing up? Dude makes me nervous when he pitches. I start sweating like Boy George eating a banana, if you know what I mean.

I'd really love to see Wang come back healthy soon. Thank God Kevin Brown is soon to be an Ed Whitson-like memory.

I hear ya on Brown! Put him and Gordon on the "oh, here we fookin go again" bus.

Wang looked great earlier in the year. A healthy Wang is a good Wang!( did I just say that?)

Leiter has better stats against West Coast teams....if he doesnt throw 200 pitches before the 3rd inning...he should be fine.

You did, but it's cool. And I agree, in either context of the phrase.

Gordon has been either stellar or suck-ass all year. I think age is catching up with him rapidly. This Aaron Small guy has been a huge pleasant surprise, though, given his journeyman history. And Chacon ...... Jesus, with the exception of that last start I'm beginning to think he has been one of the best kept secrets in the majors. Getting out of Colorado alone has rejuvenated the guy's career, and as young as he is, I think we will sign him (rightfully so) to a fat extension after the season.

Agreed on Chacon! Give him a full off-season and spring with Mel and he's all set. He's been a great pick-up.

Shit, I hope Mel stays around. I'm hearing Joe Kerrigan will be moving in soon if Stottlemyre decides to retire after all.

For my buds, Zilla and Guwapo:

Carmines first Yankee games:

1985---Exhibition Stadium---Toronto

I'm 14...these 3 games are my first Yankee games ever and the yanks are trailing the Jays by 3 games. Its the last series of the season, and obviously, the yanks need to win all 3 games to force a one game playoff. So, were sitting on the right field line BEHIND the wall, great game on friday...Butch Weineger blasts a game winning HR in the 9th and the Yanks win! All 7 Yankee fans are going wild!

Saturday's game: Phil Neikro is pitching for the Yanks....good game...and this is the part that I will NEVER forget...up till 85 the Jays had never been to the post season. When the last out was made and the Jays won....30,000 people rush the field! Over the walls on the baselines....over the walls in the outfield...anyway to get on that field!! An incredible and awesome sight!!

I will never forget my first games!!!

and the Yanks didnt even win...
