Cirith Ungol - 1979 - DemoCirith Ungol
1979 Demo 01. Frost and Fire 02. Last Laugh 03. Hype Performance 04. The Twitch 05. Better Off Dead 06. What Does It Take 07. Return to Lankhmar 08. Darkness Weaves 09. A Little Fire (instrumental) 10. Title Unknown Cirith Ungol's music in their early years was not their well known epic sound, they were just slowly developing. Here we do have traces of classic doom metal and epic metal structures, but this is mostly just standard traditional 80's metal, very similar to a raw DIO, adding the fantasy literature lyrics and themes. It is also interesting to point out Tim Baker's vocals here are nothing at all like he later developed them to be, they arn't yet unique or croaky but to me just represent a typical males voice. Tim Baker - vocals Jerry Fogle - guitar Greg Lindstrom - guitar Michael Flint - bass Robert Garven - drums http://rapidshare.com/files/16697389...part1.rar.html http://rapidshare.com/files/16697906...part2.rar.html |

Thanks!I always thought his singing was a bit weird, so I'm guessing I'll love this.
Thanks. |

Here's what I've got so far:
Frost and Fire (September 1979) Last Laugh (September 1979) Hype Performance (September 1979) The Twitch (December 1979) Better Off Dead (December 1979) What Does It Take (Month/Year Unknown) Return to Lankhmar (August 1980) Darkness Weaves (March 1980) A Little Fire (Instrumental, Month/Year Unknown) Title Unknown (This sounds like two tracks spliced together, Witchdance from July of 1978 and Feeding The Ants from September of 1978) Most but not all of these tracks later (much later!) appear on a 2 CD release called Servants of Chaos (2001 Metal Blade Records) which is mandatory for CU fans. ![]() Disc 1: 1.
