I just found this during a search.

Eddie Cochran greatly influenced the British boys in the 1950's, as well as
many other American sounds and styles. In fact a song on this cd began
The Beatles.

On that sunny afternoon in 1957 when John Lennon met Paul McCartney, John was auditioning Paul as a possible addition to his band. When McCartney quickly tuned the guitar before playing he had impressed Lennon as useful. But when he proceeded to get all the way thru "Twenty Flight Rock", he was in! And the world of music began a mighty change.
