FOREIGNER-CALIFORNIA JAM II(Ontario Motor Speedway,CA 1978)
Ontario Motor Speedway, Ontario, CA, March 18th.1978
Sound=Pretty good
On March 18, 1978, California Jam II, also at Ontario Motor
Speedway, set new records, selling 220,000 tickets, drawing
300,000 fans and grossing $3 million.
Performers were Aerosmith, Foreigner, Ted Nugent, Heart,
Dave Mason, Santana, Bob Welch, Mahogany Rush and Rubicon. A
two-record live album of festival highlights was later
released.
A third California Jam was considered but plans were dropped
after the promoter died in a plane crash.
