I have a fairly large collection of live cassettes that I picked up through trading, record shows and retail stores (as well as a few that I taped myself from the radio), and I'm beginning to transfer many of them to CD.

Here's a show from what I believe to be one of the more underrated bands of the 80's and 90's, Great White. IMO, Mark Kendall was an amazing guitarist, and Jack Russell had such a great voice. It's a shame that the only thing they'll be remembered for is the Rhode Island tragedy.

This show was taken from the Lazer 103 stage of Milwaukee's annual summerfest. Lazer 103 would broadcast their headlining act every night, and thus the sound is good, if a bit sterile for my tastes, with a muted audience.

Still, the performance was top notch, and there are a few songs that weren't part of GW's usual live setlist (Fast Road, Lady Red Light, Love is a Lie).

They were riding high then.....I agree with everyword. Well, maybe the part about the sound quality of the broadcasts....honestly they did get better as the years wore on. I just couldn't stand Marylin Mee....

Kudos for another nice post; I, too, had this show on tape and transferred it to disc maybe 4 years ago -- but my source cassette was missing WASTED ROCK RANGER. I am anxious to compare the quality of our pieces to see if yours will be my new keeper or if I'll just integrate WRR into mine
