Axl's voice is wrecked early in the set, but Locomotive is a must have. good post

I was at that show.

Unfortunately, due to Axle Grease delaying the start time, they came on so late (just a couple of minutes before midnight) I left by the time they played Live & Let Die, as I had to get up to go to work the next day.

My roommate won a pair of loge seats on KLOS, so it was not as if I lost money. As it is, I made money. They played 5 shows in a row at the Forum, this one was the last night.

I had waited in line for 2 hours a couple of months previously to buy as many tickets as I could....the plan was to buy 6 and sell 4 of them for enough profit to pay for the two best seats.

Since my roommate won a better pair of tickets than any I was able to get, I made a decent profit from them.

And the REALLY great thing is that while standing in line to get the tickets, I started talking to some young guy. Turned out he was a bootleg trader. This was before CDs and the net. We got together later on and traded a whole bunch of VHS and cassette tapes.

What a valuable friend he has been over the years. We STILL trade stuff to this very day.

One other thing. Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols came out and did Holidays In The Sun with Skid Row.
